Šarena haljina/The colorful dress

Jedan predivan materijal, jedan dobar kroj i jedna lepa haljina.

Tim redom ide, tako sam ih kupila, birala i sašila.

One beautiful fabric, one good pattern, and one lovely dress.

In that order, I bought, picked and sewed them.

Jeste da sam obećala sebi da treba sređivati garderobu, da nešto sa nečim ide, ali u haosu kojem smo trenutno (sređivanje jedne kuće, davno spakovane stvari u kutije u drugoj) ne znam odakle da počnem niti da li da uopšte počinjem dok se ne preselimo. A to znači da sam nešto počela, ali mi loše ide... Sa druge strane treba šiti od materijala kojih imam u zalihama, a i to uspevam loše jer mi baš treba nešto sasvim drugo od onoga što imam... A treće stvar je da treba da šijem jednobojne materijale jer mi takvih stvari najviše fali, ali i tu se slabo šta kreće ka uspehu...

Sve u svemu, definitivno je da sam neuspešna u ciljevima koje sam postavila. No, to me svakako ne sprečava da šijem ono što mi se svidi.

Yes, I promised myself that I needed to sort out my wardrobe, that I could more combine, but in the chaos, we are currently in (renovation of one house, long ago packed things in boxes in another) I don't know where to start or even to begin until we move. And that means I started something, but I'm doing that poorly ... On the other hand, it needs to be sewed from the materials I have in stock, and I manage it poorly because I just want something completely different from what I have ... And the third thing is that I need to sew monochrome materials because I miss these things the most, but I procrastinate...

Overall, it is definitely that I am unsuccessful in the goals I set. But it certainly doesn't stop me from sewing what I like.

Ovaj materijal sam kupila polovinom juna, a došla sam tada u radnju sa namerom da kupim materijal za suknju i kupila čak dva, naravno šarena. U međuvremenu sam se predomislila i sašila od ovoga haljinu.

I purchased this fabric in mid-June, came to the store intending to buy fabric for a skirt and bought two, of course colorful. In the meantime, I changed my mind and sewed this dress.

Model je broj 104 iz oktobarskog izdanja Burda magazina za 2018. godinu. 

U časopisu se nalaze dve haljine sličnog kroja, a materijal koji je preporučen se razlikuje od materijala koji sam ja koristila tako da moja haljina drugačije pada u donjem delu. 

Nisam se trudila da uklapam boje i linije na materijalu jer je to bilo nemoguće s obzirom na smerove linija i nejednake dezene, tako da su se negde slučajno poklopile linije, a negde ne.

Što se rukava tiče, morala sam da skratim i suzim prvobitno planirane iz časopisa jer nisam imala dovoljno materijala za njih. Moja mišljenje je da ovi bolje pristaju uz ovaj materijal, ali sam se dvoumila da stavim ipak kratke rukave.

Haljinu na slikama možete videti sa pojasom i bez, a ja ne mogu da se odlučim koja varijanta je bolja. 

The model is No. 104 from the October 2018 issue of Burda Magazine.

There are two similar patterns in the magazine, and the recommended fabric is different from the material I used so that my dress falls differently in the bottom.

I didn't bother to match the colors and lines on my dress because it was impossible given the directions of the lines and the uneven patterns so that the lines somewhere coincided and not.

As for the sleeves, I had to shorten and narrow down planned initially from the magazine because I didn't have enough fabric for them. It is my opinion that these fit better with this material, but I was hesitant to put on short sleeves. 

You can see the dress in the pictures with the belt and without, and I can't decide which one is better.

Onaj iznenadni termin Stoffmarkt-a u julu ovde u blizini me baš obradovao, a posle njega sam zaključila da je Stoffmarkt najbolje posećivati leti. Bilo je prelepih materijala, a i kupila sam više nego inače.

(Prekjuče sam se isto tako oduševila sa izborom materijala u radnji u susednom mestu. Moraću česće tamo svraćati.)

Ovaj materijal je bio na tezgi sa materijalima za nameštaj i dekor. Te materijale uvek pregledam jer se nikad ne zna šta bi moglo biti zanimljivo za neki kaput, jaknu ili nešto sasvim drugo (Prvi kaput koji sam sebi šila je bio od materijala za nameštaj.). Isti dezen je još bio u smeđim nijansama, ali ovaj je bio mnogo primamljiviji iako sam se ja koji sekundu dvoumila jer je ovaj u moju garderobu, komplet šarenu, vrlo teško ukombinovati. No, nisam mogla da odolim.

Od pomenutih materijala, ja uglavnom šijem jakne i kapute. Zbog svoje čvrstine, lepo drže formu, a debljina je odgovarajuća za takve modele.

Ovog materijala kupila sam svega 80cm samo toliko dami bude dovoljno za jaknu (Ali ostalo mi je još nešto malo, taman za neku pismo tašnu.), ne mogu sad da se setim, ali širina je bila nešto duža nego inače.

That sudden Stoffmarkt in July nearby was really full hit, and after that, I concluded that Stoffmarkt in summer is the best to visit. There were some beautiful fabrics, and I bought more than usual.

This fabric was on the stand with fabrics for furniture and decor. I always look at these fabrics because you never know what might be interesting for a coat, a jacket or something else (The first coat I sewed was of upholstery fabric.). The same pattern was still in brown shades, but this in red was much more exciting, although a few seconds I had doubts since this one is very difficult to blend in my colorful wardrobe. But I couldn't resist it.

Of the aforementioned upholstery fabrics, I sew mainly jackets and coats. Because of their solidity, they keep well the shape, and the thickness is appropriate for such models.

I bought only 80cm from this fabric, enough for a jacket (But I still have a little bit rest, enough for a clutch.), I can't remember now, but the width was slightly longer than usual.

Na prethodne jakne nisam stavaljala postavu, ali ovde sam se odlučila da stavim iako je moglo i bez. Za postavu sam iskoristila pamučni puplin krem boje.

Prvobitno sam kupila saten traku svetlo plave boje za ivice jer nisam našla crvenu da se slaže sa bojama na materijalu, ali sam posle ipak crvenu pamučnu naručila i na moju sreću, boja je bila odgovarajuća.

Od pre nekog vremena imam novu mašinu za šivenje, za koju postoji gomila stopica i dodataka za lakše šivenje, ali ja do sada nisam nabavila dodatak za šivenje paspul trake (sledeća želja) pa sam sve to obavila polako iz mnogo više koraka (Mi bi rekli peške.). Ja sam sve naučila tako da se više oslanjam na svoje mogućnosti i sposobnosti, a ne na mašinu ili dodatne pomoći iako to ponekad, kao u ovom slučaju zahteva mnogo više vremena.

I didn't put a lining on the previous two jackets, but I decided to put it on this one, although it was possible without it. I used a cotton poplin in beige for that.

I first bought a satin true bias in light blue for the edges because I didn't find the red to match the color of the fabric, but after a while, I ordered red cotton true bias and luckily, the color was appropriate.

Since a while ago I have a new sewing machine for which exist a bunch of feet and extra accessories for easier sewing, but I haven't bought an attachment for bias tape sewing (my next wish) so I did it slowly in a lot of steps. I've learned everything so that I rely more on my capabilities than on the sewing machine or the extra help attachments, though sometimes, as in this case, it requires much more time.

Kao što sam i pretpostavila, jaknu sam se namučila iskombinovati sa nečim iz mog ormara (Možda malo više preterujem kad se radi o slaganju boja i delova garderobe.).

Ujedno je i vreme bilo jako loše pa je jakna punih mesec dana čekala na vešalici u sobi za šivenje (Nisam uspela ni da je nosim.).

As I have assumed, I tried to combine the jacket with something from my closet (Perhaps I exaggerate a bit more when it comes to arranging the color and the parts of the wardrobe.).

At the same time, the weather was very bad, so the jacket waited for a full month in the sewing room (I didn't even manage to wear it).

Zelenu suknju sam, takođe, ja šila, a bela majca je druga varijanta pošto majca sa printom nikako nije dobro izgledala. Pošto je kod nas već vreme za čizme i sličnu toplu obuću, smeđe kratke čizme sam u sve ovo uklopila.

The end results are these photos.

I sewed a green skirt also, and this white-shirt is the second choice as the t-shirt with print didn't fit good into a complete outfit. This autumn is already here, so I put on ankle boots

Imam na zalihama crveni materijal za haljinu za koji mislim da bi se super uklopio sa jaknom pa se tom šivenju radujem.

I have a red fabric for the dress on my stocks that I think would fit super with the jacket so I'm looking forward to this sewing.

Meni je ova jakna neverovatno poseban komad garderobe.

Pre mesec dana kad sam je završila bila sam oduševljena koliko je dobro ispala, a oduševljena sam još uvek. (Tako sam prošle godine bila oduševljena onom pomenutom belom.)

To me, this jacket is an incredibly special piece of wardrobe.

A month ago when I have finished it I was thrilled how good it was, and I'm still thrilled. (Last year I was also so thrilled with the mentioned white jacket.)

Moje boje/My colors

Još jedna u nizu mojih jednostavnih letnjih haljina. 

Za leto (pa i za ovo) skoro uvek šijem prilično jednostavne modele, nestrukirane ili sa gumom ispod grudi ili na liniji struka, ali u raznim varijantama. Ja se najprijatnije osećam u takvim haljinama (Najveći deo života sam provela na Balkanu, a tamo su letnje temperature (pre)visoke pa je praktičnije (za mene) dan provoditi u nečem opuštenom i lepršavom.).

Another one of my simple summer dresses.

For the summer (and for this also) almost always I sew pretty simple models, straight or with rubber under the chest or on the line of the waist, but in various variants. I feel most comfortable in such a kind of dresses (I spend most of my life in the Balkans, and there are temperatures in summer too high, so it is more practical to spend a day in something  fluttering.)

Što se ove haljine tiče, najveću ulogu je odigrala matematika ili možda ipak snalažljivost ili kako iskoristiti svaki delić materijala jer vam je prelep.

Imala sam u dužini skoro 1,90m (širine 1,50m) ovog materijala, sa obe strane je bila ista bordura (koja se na haljini lepo vidi), a između deo sa cvećem. (Volim na Stoffmarkt-u da kupujem u delu gde se nude materijali već isečene dužine (restovi), tj. ostaci materijala dužine 1,40-1,90m koji se prodaju za 5 eura po komadu. Tako je ovaj i prethodni materijal koji sam pokazala ovde, na taj način kupljen. Na takvim tezgama (po meni) uvek ima najlepših materijala.)

As far as this dress is concerned, the most important role was mathematics or perhaps resourcefulness or how to make use of every piece of fabric because it is beautiful.

I had a length of almost 1.90m (1.50m wide) of this fabric, on both sides is the same border, and between was the piece with the flowers. (I like at Stoffmarkt to buy pieces at places where fabrics are already cut out (rests), ie fabrics lengths of 1.40-1.90m, which are sold at 5 euros per piece. So this and previous fabric that I sewed, were bought on that way. At such a kind of places are always the most interesting fabrics.)

Materijal je providan pa je bilo pitanje stavljati postavu ili duplo šiti na donjem delu!? Postavu koju sam htela sam morala naručiti na internetu pa čekati, a ja sam većinom nestrpljiva kad nešto naumim pa sam se odlučila da donji deo bude od materijala, ali duplo. 

Kada sam pred ogledalom nameštala materijal po sebi, kako i šta bi šila, bordura je jako dobro izgledala na izrezu tako da mi je to bilo najbitnije. Odmah je i bilo jasno da će biti neki V-izrez, ali ostalo je da iskombinujem obim donjeg dela i izrez, tako da sam isekla skoro 50cm od dužine za gornji deo, a ostalo je ostao obim donjeg dela. Leđni deo gornjeg dela je jedini zapostavljen, šta je ostalo kad sam isekla prednji deo.

Bordura mi je bila jako lepa (i još uvek) i zbog toga je donji deo ovakav, jedan deo kraći, a drugi duži. 

The fabric was transparent, so it was a question to put a lining or duplicate fabric on the bottom part !? The lining I wanted, I had to order on the internet and wait, because of I'm mostly impatient when I'm doing something, so I decided that the bottom part would be of fabric but double.

When I put the fabric on myself in front of the mirror, how and what would I do, the border looked very good at the front, so it was the most important thing to me. It was immediately apparent that there would be a V-neck, but it remains to combine the volume of the lower part and the upper part, so I cut almost 50cm from the length for the upper part and the rest remained for the volume of the lower part. The back of the upper part was the only one neglected, what was left when I made the front part.

The border was very pretty (and still is) and because of that the bottom part is like this, one part shorter and the other longer.

Nosila sam par puta ovu haljinu i u prvo vreme razmišljala da je možda trebala biti kraća. Pomalo me još uvek drži ta dilema, ali... Ova dužina je ostala jer sam htela maksimalno da iskoristim materijal i činila mi se elegentnijom nego kraća varijanta.

U svakom slučaju, haljina je lepa i sa zadovoljstvom je nosim.

I wore this dress a few times and thought at first that it might have been shorter. I'm still holding this dilemma a bit, but ... This length has remained because I wanted to use the maximum of the fabric and seemed to me more elegant than a shorter variant.

Anyway, the dress is pretty and I'm so pleased to wear it.

Patike/Sneakers

Volim patike. 

I love sneakers.

Nekada davno sam ih mnogo više nosila, a sad se ograničavam na sportske aktivnosti, vožnju bicikla ili neko baš opušteno vreme. Ove sam kupila prošle godine na rasprodaji u kišnom delu godine pa sam se pre neki dan setila da ih imam (Još nisam izvukla svu prolećnu i letnju obuću iz zimskog sna.)

A long time ago I've worn them a lot, latterly I have limited myself to wearing them for sports activities, biking or just relaxation. I bought this last year on sale in the rain part of the year so I remembered a few days ago that I have them (I have not pulled all the spring and summer shoes out of winter sleep).

Naime, uvek sam imala u svom ormaru bar jednu haljinu koja se može nositi sa patikama. Čak sam i prošlog leta šila jednu. Mada mislim da će ova biti moj omiljeni komad garderobe ovog leta.

Namely, I always had in my wardrobe at least one dress that could be worn in combination with the sneakers. I sewed one last year, but I think this will be my favorite piece of clothes this summer.

Pre mesec dana sam sa prijateljicom koja ne živi ovde obišla radnje materijala jer je ona htela nešto da kupuje i u jednoj prodavnici sam naletela na ovaj materijal i na prvi pogled se zaljubila. Morala, ali morala sam da ga kupim. Nisam znala šta ću šiti, to je bila još jedna o mojih mnogobrojnih impulsivnih kupovina materijala (Samo da ga kupim!).
A month ago, with a friend who doesn't live here, I visited fabric shops nearby because she wanted to buy something, in one shop I ran into this fabric and at first sight fell in love. I had to buy it. I didn't know what I would sew, that was only another one of my many impulsive purchases of fabrics (Just to buy it!).

Oduvek sam htela šiti ovakav model haljine, ali mi se do sada nije ukazala prilika.

Često se setim moje mame u pamučnim letnjim haljinama ovog kroja koji sam iskoristila za haljinu, a nedavno sam pregledavala slike i naletela na mamu u jednoj takvoj haljini. Koliko se sećam, haljina je bila žuta i mama je na slici ima kaiš na struku od istog platna.

I always wanted to sew this kind of dress, but I didn't have a chance until now.

I remember often my mom in the cotton dresses of the same cut I used to this dress, recently I looked at the family album and mom in one of those dresses. As far as I remember, the dress was yellow and mom in the photo had a belt on the waist from the same fabric.

Haljinu sam sašila za manje od dva sata. 

Inače, ja ne šijem brzo. Užasno sam pedantna i dok svaki detalj ne bude perfektan, ja ne odustajem. Samim tim nisam ni previše produktivna, čak se i ne trudim da budem, mada neke stvari baš brzo mogu da se realizuju.  (Nedavno me zamolila prijateljica da joj sašijem jedan džemper od laganog ljubičastog žerseja koji je kupila, a džemper joj je bio potreban baš za moju svadbu. Ona je isprobala jedan moj, tamno ljubičasti, ima ga u jednoj od priča na blogu, i kroj joj je odgovarao pa smo se dogovorile da dođe do mene i još sam rekla da ćemo brzo to nas dve završiti. Na kraju je i bilo tako, sat i po vremena je sve ukupno trajalo. Ona zadovoljna, a i ja svojim šivenjem. Tako sam ja zaključila da mogu nešto i brzo da sašijem i budem zadovoljna.)

I've sewed this dress in less than two hours.

Otherwise, I don't sew fast. I'm terribly pedantic and until every detail is perfect, I don't give up. By doing so, I'm not too productive, even I'm not trying to be, but some things can be quickly realized. (My girlfriend recently asked me to sew her a light purple sweater from jersey that she bought, and she needed the sweater for my wedding. She tried one of mine, dark purple, and the cut was the right one. So we agreed that she comes to me and I said that we would soon finish it, and at the end, it was like that, a little over an hour it was everything over. She was happy, and I also with my quick sewing. It was a sign that I can sew something quick and be satisfied.)

Vintage

Cipele su krive!!!

Shoes are quilty!!!

Ova suknja nije zamišljena kao vintage, ali se desilo to da sam naručivala cipele za svadbu ne bi li našla odgovarajuće pa sam naručila i ove na slikama.

Cipele nisu moj fazon uopšte, ali su mi se svidele jer su drugačije. Nešto sasvim drugačije u mom ormaru, gde sad tek kontam, ima svega. (Ne ustručavam se da nosim ono što mi se svidi i to na kraju postaje pravo šarenilo epoha i stilova.)

This skirt was not designed as a vintage, but it happened that I had ordered shoes for the wedding to find matching one so I ordered these, which can be seen in the pictures.

Shoes are not my style at all but I liked it because they are different. Something quite unusual in my wardrobe, where can be found every kind of different things. (I do not hesitate to wear what I like, and in the end, my closet becomes a mixture of epochs and styles.)

Materijal sam kupila nedavno u radnji u mestu gde živim. I ovo je savršen primer kako ja kupujem materijale. Retko kada u kupovinu idem sa ciljem da mi treba neki materijal za nesšto određeno, uglavnom kupim šta mi se u datom momentu svidi pa posle razmišljam šta i kako od toga.

I bought this fabric recently in the place where I live. This is a perfect example of how I buy fabrics. Rarely I go shopping for the purpose of getting some fabric for something specific, I usually buy what I like at the moment, so afterward I have to think about what and how to sew something from it.

Suknju sam sašila prošli mesec, ali nisam stizala da napravim fotografije.

Što se kroja tiče, iskoristila sam donji deo jedne haljine koju sam šila prošle godine. 

I sewed this skirt last month, but I didn't have time to take photos.

As far as the cut is concerned, I used the bottom part of a dress I sewed last year.

Nešto drugačije od mene, moram priznati. 

No, ponekad volim da se potpuno uživim u ono što nosim tako da me raduje neko dešavanje da u ovom stilu mogu da se pokažem. 

Do tada, suknju ću iskoristiti na neki drugi način.

Something different from me, I have to admit.

But sometimes I like to enjoy completely in what I wear so I'm looking forward to some occasion that I can show myself in this style.

Until then, I'll wear the skirt in another way.

Regenjacke

Volim neke nemačke reči, a ovo je jedna od njih.

Kišna jakna. Regenjacke.

I like some German words, and this is one of them.

Raincoat. Regenjacke.

Volim i kišu, ali ponekad...

Volim mir koji donosi, padala slabije ili bio pljusak, ona donosi neku vrstu mira. 

Volim kišu u šumi, na livadi, na bilo kom mestu gde nema nikoga.

Volim zvuk kiše, ponekad tiha kao da želi da je niko ne čuje dok šeta, a ponekad kao da se svađa sama sa sobom.

Ponekad je baš i ne volim.

I like the rain, but only sometimes ...

I like the peace that it brings, light rain or showers, it brings a kind of peace, I can't explain it.

I like rain in a forest, on a meadow, anywhere where no one is.

I like the sound of a rain, sometimes it is quiet as if it wants that no one hears while walking and sometimes noisy as if it quarrel with itself.

On the other side, sometimes I don't like a rain at all.

Ovde gde ja živim, morate imati kišnu opremu ili bar jaknu za kišu (Priča bi bila ta da ovde morate uvek sa sobom imate jaknu za sve vremenske prilike, tj. može se desiti da u nekoliko minuta padne kiša, sneg i zasija sunce... Čak sam jednom to doživela.)

Što se moje kišne opreme tiče, imam plave gumene čizme na bele tufne, beli kišobran na šarene tufne, tamno plave kratke gumene čizme i imam jednu kišnu jaknu, ali ona je sportska i nisam je kupila zbog kiše.

Tako da, meni je falila kišna jakna, ali ja po kiši volim nešto duže da mi nigde ne duva, veću kapuljaču i obavezno duže rukave. Za decu ima tako lepih kabanica da se kupe, a za odrasle sve neke dosadnih boja  i ili preširokih krojeva ili kratkih rukava i slično (bar za mene) pa ja nisam našla odgovarajuću.

Here where I live, you need to have always rain accessories or at least a jacket or a coat for rain (The story would be that here you need to have always with you a jacket for all seasons. It can happen in a few minutes rainfalls, snow and sunshine ... Even I experienced it ones.)

As far as my rainy equipment goes, I have blue rubber boots with white polka dots, white umbrella with colorful polka dots, dark blue short rubber boots, and a rain jacket, but it is a sports jacket and I didn't buy it for the rain.

So, I was missing raincoat.

Materijal sam kupila prošlog leta. U radnji u koju zalazim, ovde u mestu gde živim, stoji na sred sto sa materijalima i iznad piše Softshell/Regenjacke. Bilo je i još ima i jednobojnih, ali više je šarenih materijala. Ja sam birala i birala i na kraju se ipak odlučila za plavo, opet tamno plavo, ali sa krugovima u bojama i u njima zvezde od zvezdica (zvuči dečije).

Softshell je materijal koji ne propušta kišu.

This fabric I bought last summer. In the shop, in the place where I live, standing in the middle of the big room a table with fabrics and above sign  Softshell / Regenjacke. Softshell is waterproof fabric (ideal for a raincoat). There were and still are these fabrics in different colors. I decided to a blue, dark blue again, but with colorful circles and in them stars.

Kroj ove jakne je iz jedne od Burdi (Ako nekoga zanima vrlo rado ću potražiti o kom se izdanju tačno radi.), tj. postoje dve jakne tog kroja sa različitim detaljima, a ja sam kao i uvek spajala, sužavala, prekrajala kako meni odgovara. Jaknu sam iskrojila još letos kada sam kupila materijal, ali su mi dugo vremena falile odgovarajuće stvari (Htela sam iste rajsfešluse, paspul traka boje da se uklapa, pertle za vezivenje, ...) pa sam je završila tek prošle nedelje iako sam je šila ceo mart, ali moja stara mašina nije uspevala da šije kako treba pa sam dobila novu i završila jaknu.

The pattern of the jacket is from one of the Burda magazine (If you're interested, I could look which one it is.) There are two jackets of the same pattern with different details, but I have them combine the way I wanted. I cut the fabric when I bought it, but I was looking a long time  for  perfect accessories (zipper, bias tape, shoelaces, ...) so I ended it last week, Although I was sewing it the whole of  March, my old machine was  unable to sew this fabric, so I got a new one and finished my raincoat.

Džepove sam sašila sa spoljne strane i stavila koso rajsfešluse, sve ostalo, kao što su trake za vezanje na kapuljači, struku i na donjem rubu sam stavila sa unutrašnje strane (Ipak je to jakna za kišu.).

I sewed pockets on the outside and placed zippers, everything else is placed inside (However, it is the raincoat.).

Rukave sam napravila baš dugačke, ali mogu da se nose i u kraćoj varijanti. Duži su ostali jer je stvar koju ja najviše ne volim kad pada kiša da mi kiša ulazi oko zglobova ili bolje rečeno, da su mi zglobovi goli.

I made sleeves (too) long, but they can be worn shorter also. I like longer sleeves on rain jackets or winter coats.

Jakna je iznutra tirkizno plave boje, a ja sam rubove opšila tamno plavom paspul trakom.

The inside of the coat is turquoise and edges have seam binding. I used dark blue bias tape.

Jakna je čekala nedelju dana skoro ne bi li kiša pala da je mogu slikati. A u subotu je konačno padala kiša. Obično sama na zidu u dvorištu pravim slike, ali ovaj put sam uspela da nagovorim muža da me slika pa smo otišli do obližnjeg parka. 

Vidi se na slikama da sam ja jaknom oduševljena. 

The jacket was waiting for almost a week to rain falls that I can take pictures. And, on Saturday was finally raining. Usually, I take pictures alone, but this time I managed to persuade my husband to do that so we went to a nearby park.

It can be seen in the pictures that I am thrilled with the coat.

Ovo je moja prva foto priča van kuće pa iz tog razloga puno više slika, ali nadam se da vam se svidelo.
